Security & Privacy
At WebMeet, we’ve built our platform specifically for the unique needs of network marketing businesses. From the ground up, every feature is designed with your industry in mind—including the highest standards of security.
WebMeet is built on a secure foundation to protect your team, safeguard sensitive data, and keep business conversations private.
Our meeting solution includes built-in, default-on protections to ensure that every virtual interaction is safe and secure—so you can focus on growing your network with confidence.
Safety measures
WebMeet was purpose-built for network marketing businesses—where team collaboration, prospect meetings, and leadership calls happen around the clock. We understand that your business relies on secure, reliable, and disruption-free meetings, which is why we’ve implemented advanced safeguards tailored to your needs.
Here are just a few of the safety measures built into WebMeet:
Anti-Hijacking Controls: Your video meetings are protected with multiple layers of security to prevent unauthorized access and disruptions.
Unique Meeting Codes: Every meeting is assigned a 10-character code generated from a 25-character set, making it extremely difficult to guess or brute force entry.
Dynamic Meeting Details: Hosts can update invite details at any time. Changing the invite automatically regenerates a new meeting code—especially useful when team members change or access needs to be revoked.
Controlled Access:
Participants can’t join more than 10 minutes before a scheduled meeting.
Only people listed on the calendar invite can join directly. Others must request access via “knocking,” which the host can approve or deny.
Only the meeting host can admit, mute, or remove participants.
Abuse Prevention Tools:
WebMeet enforces limits that reduce the risk of abuse.
Participants can easily report disruptive behavior during a session.
Hosts have direct access to real-time moderation controls.
- Meeting Host has the ability to dismiss, block and report and Guest.
With WebMeet, your meetings are not only productive—they’re protected. Everything is designed to support how network marketers work, grow, and lead.
Encryption
At WebMeet, we know that trust and privacy are essential in network marketing—whether you’re leading a team call or sharing sensitive business strategies. That’s why WebMeet is designed from the ground up to protect your data with enterprise-grade encryption, built specifically for the fast-moving, people-driven nature of network marketing.
Here’s how we keep your information secure:
Encrypted by Default: All data in WebMeet video meetings is encrypted in transit by default—from your browser to our cloud infrastructure on AWS—ensuring that every conversation stays protected.
Secure Recordings: Meeting recordings are encrypted at rest by default, so your training sessions, presentations, and leadership calls remain private and secure.
Standards-Based Protection: WebMeet follows industry-leading security protocols, including IETF standards like Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS) and Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP), for safe, real-time communication.
With WebMeet, you don’t have to choose between ease of use and strong security. We’ve built both—specifically for the needs of network marketing professionals.
Secure deployment, access & controls
WebMeet is designed specifically to support the fast-paced, relationship-driven world of network marketing—where secure communication and easy access are non-negotiable. That’s why we’ve implemented smart, streamlined security measures to protect your data without slowing your team down.
Here’s how we help keep your business safe:
No Downloads Needed: WebMeet runs entirely in the browser for users on Chrome, Firefox®, Safari®, and the new Microsoft® Edge®. There’s no need for plugins or extra software, which reduces your team’s exposure to potential threats and eliminates the hassle of managing frequent security updates on personal devices.
2-Step Verification (2SV): To add an extra layer of protection, WebMeet supports multiple 2SV options including security keys, Google Authenticator, and SMS codes—helping ensure only authorized users can access your meetings and content.
With WebMeet, your network stays connected and secure—so you can focus on growing your team, not managing IT issues.
Privacy & Transparency
When building client relationships, trust is everything—and at WebMeet, protecting that trust is built into our platform from the ground up.
Here’s how WebMeet keeps you in control of your data and ensures your business stays protected:
Privacy by Design: Our dedicated privacy team is involved in every product launch—reviewing designs and code to ensure privacy standards are met. This helps us deliver features built for your business while safeguarding your data.
You Stay in Control:
WebMeet does not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Your data is encrypted in transit, and recordings are encrypted at rest by default.
We don’t use attention-tracking tools or collect audio/video/chat content unless a participant chooses to record a meeting.
Built for Compliance: WebMeet regularly undergoes independent audits and security reviews to meet global standards for security, privacy, and compliance—so you can use it with confidence, no matter where your business grows.
Transparent and Accountable: We follow a strict, transparent process when responding to government data requests, ensuring your rights and data are respected at all times.
WebMeet gives you a secure, compliant, and trustworthy platform—because growing your business should never come at the cost of your privacy.

Safety Best Practices
Create Safe, Trusted Spaces
Your meetings aren’t just voice and video calls—they’re where relationships are built, teams are led, and business gets done. That’s why WebMeet was designed with the unique dynamics of your business in mind, helping you create secure, professional meeting environments every time you connect.
Here’s how to maintain a trusted space with WebMeet:
Protect Your Meeting Links: Avoid posting meeting links in public forums or open groups. For team or leadership calls, use WebMeet contact invites to ensure only trusted participants can join.
Share Screenshots Carefully: If you need to share a screenshot of your meeting, be sure to crop or remove the browser URL to avoid exposing your meeting link.
Vet Attendees Before Admitting Them: Only allow participants you recognize into the room. WebMeet makes it easy to manage who enters, especially during opportunity calls or team trainings.
Use Host Controls to Manage Disruption: If someone becomes disruptive, Hosts have full control to mute, remove, or permanently ban participants with just a few clicks.
Report Abuse Easily: If you experience inappropriate behavior, WebMeet gives you a quick way to report it—helping keep the platform safe for the entire community.
Think Before You Share: Never share personal information like passwords, banking details, or your birthday during meetings—even with people you trust.
Enable 2-Step Verification: Secure your WebMeet account with 2-step verification (2SV) to help prevent unauthorized access—even if someone gets hold of your password.
With WebMeet, you’re not just hosting a meeting—you’re protecting your team, your prospects, and your brand. We’re here to help you lead with confidence, securely.
